FAQ
-
What file formats do you accept?
We prefer PDF, JPG, PNG, or TIF files for best print quality.
PDF is ideal because it preserves your fonts, colors, and layout exactly as you designed them. If you’re sending images, make sure they’re high-resolution (300 DPI or higher) for crisp, professional results. -
What are bleeds and crop marks, and why do they matter?
A bleed is extra image area that extends slightly beyond the edge of your design. It ensures that when your piece is trimmed to size, the color or artwork goes all the way to the edge — with no white border showing.
Crop marks (also called trim marks) are small lines in the corners of your file that show where the final cut will be made.
When saving your PDF, include a ⅛ inch (0.125") bleed on all sides and add crop marks if possible. If you’re not sure how to set this up, don’t worry — we can help adjust it before printing.
-
What’s your typical turnaround time?
Most standard print jobs — such as flyers, postcards, or business cards — are ready within 1–3 business days after proof approval. Larger or custom orders may take a little longer, but we’ll always give you an estimated completion date before starting your job.
-
Do you offer same-day or rush printing?
Yes, in many cases we can provide same-day or next-day printing depending on the job and materials needed. Just give us a call or stop by, and we’ll do our best to meet your deadline.
-
Can I see a proof before printing?
Yes! We’ll always send a digital proof for approval before production begins. You can also request a printed proof if you’d like to see your colors and layout in person before we print your full order.
-
What paper types and finishes do you offer?
We offer a wide range of paper options to fit your project — from smooth uncoated stocks for a natural, writable feel to glossy and satin finishes for vibrant color and shine. Heavier cardstocks are great for postcards, invitations, and business cards, while lighter weights work beautifully for flyers, brochures, and letterhead.
If you’re not sure what’s best for your job, stop by the shop — we’ll help you choose the perfect paper and finish to match your look and budget.
